My name is Kandarp Khandwala and I am currently pursuing my Masters in Computer Science & Security at Johns Hopkins University with an expected graduation date of December, 2018. Simultaneously, I assist Prof. Matthew Green in his class Practical Cryptographic Systems by conducting bi-weekly office hours for 70 students in addition to holding review sessions, assisting with projects, creating rubrics and grading assignments.

I spent my summer with Verizon Connect developing new features for Hum which made a huge impact on the Safety of the Driver and Eco-Friendliness score of the car.

Before this, I worked as a Graduate Research Assistant for Dr. Gerard Lemson at The Institute for Data Intensive Engineering and Science (IDIES) at Johns Hopkins University where I played with parallel access of terabytes of data and Deep Learning predictions of galaxies.

I worked as a Software Engineer for JPMorgan Chase & Co. between July 2015 and June 2017. I built large scale systems and critical applications, performed Production release management and planning and gained knowledge in the life-cycle of the Credit Trading Investment. My areas of specialty are Backend Technology, Microservices and Software Engineering.

I have decent experience in building projects using technologies like Python, Java, Android, Spring, Shell Scripting, SQL Programming, Mobile and Web technologies.

My goal is to build and contribute to the field of Software Engineer Security by working on several projects to enhance user safety and privacy using context-aware security.

I also am an avid soccer player representing my undergraduate team at a competitive level. My preferred position is right-back. I have also won awards in local ping-pong competitions.

I am currently looking for Full-Time opportunities in Software Development, Product and Application Security, Cryptography and related fields. You can view my resume here. . Please feel free to contact me for any queries/future opportunities.
